This author blog is my way of conveying meaningful and interesting information to you.
I want to share what I’ve learned and pay it forward, so my blog is about things I hope it will help you—especially in your writing endeavors. My first set of blogs will be about how to market creative work.
After going to all the effort to write a novel, it came as a huge shock that I would also have to do the selling of that novel. Since I had no idea how that was done, I pulled out my official engineering rule book:
- Formulate a question.
- Gather data.
- Analyze and implement results.
This led me to interview eleven avid readers, many of whom were also writers, and find out how they engage in social media as well as what would entice them to engage with me. This yielded some great information, and the resulting blog posts will be on this page from most recent to oldest.
Half of them are on how to market your book on social media, and the rest are the individual interviews. I hope you enjoy them!
Other blogs will be on the craft of writing, science, and my journey as an author. In the side bar, there will be a menu tree that will have the blog posts organized by category, for quicker reference.
I intend to use a variety of media for my blogs, including photos, videos, and voiceover recordings, to mix things up a bit and keep them interesting. But they will always be short, as your time is valuable.
Longer pieces of writing, such as short stories, sample chapters, and journal articles, can be found on the Publications page.
